Husky Energy - Minnedosa

Located in Minnedosa, Manitoba, Canada, Husky Energy began start-up and production in 2007. The ethanol plant is capable of processing wheat and corn and was the largest at the time in Manitoba. The plant produces 130 million liters per year of ASTM motor fuel grade ethanol. The plant also produces DDGS for animal feed. The plant includes grain receiving and storage, liquefaction, fermentation, distillation and dehydration, evaporation, DDGS drying and product storage and shipping. KATZEN's SSF system and low energy distillation system, maximizing heat recovery to achieve high efficiencies, was incorporated in the plant design.

KATZEN provided to Husky Energy our process design package, detail engineering and construction liaison, operator training and start-up service.
