Abengoa Bioenergy France

Located in Lacq, France, Abengoa Bioenergy France (ABF) began start-up and production in 2008. The plant is designed to produce 200 million liters per year of industrial (fuel) grade ethanol and a valuable animal feed coproduct (DDGS) utilizing corn as a feedstock. The plant's location, adjacent to an existing oil and gas facility, enables it to receive its energy requirements from the waste energy of its neighbor, thereby increasing the plant's overall sustainability. The ethanol plant is certified by the ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification).

KATZEN provided to ABF our process design package, detail engineering, construction liaison, operator training and start-up services.
