First Fuel Grade Ethanol Plant in Poland

Located in the heart of Goswinowice, Poland, Bioagra S.A. began start-up and production in 2009. The first of its kind in Poland, this 130 million liters per year plant from corn is capable of producing both motor fuel grade ethanol and industrial grade ethanol (for use in the production of ETBE).

Bioagra is a zero-discharge plant licensed with proprietary KATZEN technology to minimize energy consumption and environmental emissions, and to achieve the highest yields in the industry. Today, Bioagra operates with silaged, wet corn as feedstock with moisture as high as 30%.

KATZEN provided to Bioagra our detailed process design package, equipment design and specifications, detail engineering review, construction liaison, commissioning services, operator training and start-up services.
